Clinical Education Specialist

JOB SUMMARY

The Clinical Education Specialist will be responsible for the on-going development of clinical staff including the analysis of learning needs, identification of issues requiring monitoring, and the provision of pertinent training to improve quality of care provided. Plans appropriate experiences facilitating clinical competency and the socialization of new and existing employees. The Clinical Education Specialist will be responsible for management and oversight of General Nursing orientation. Class content includes not only didactic coursework but also hands-on clinical experience and lessons in professional responsibility.

The Clinical Education Specialist will be a liaison with area schools to assist with student clinical rotations. This position will also coordinate American Heart Association offerings within MHP. These services are aligned with MHP's strategic initiatives, mission, vision and values.

The Clinical Education Specialist will be responsible for identifying process improvement areas and collaborating with other team members to resolve unfavorable outcomes.

• MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred.

Minimum of 3 years recent clinical experience

Excellent communication and presentation skills.
