GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES :

Under direct supervision, performs routine tasks for patients receiving GI Lab procedures, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Assists with clerical duties, housekeeping, instrument reprocessing, and nursing errands. Supports front office tasks as directed by the Nurse in charge.

REPORTS TO : Charge Nurse

Principal Duties and Responsibilities :

Required Education, Skills & Experience :

RN, LPN, Medical Assistant or equivalent. Ability to follow policies, expand skills, and communicate effectively with patients and staff.

Physical / Mental / Environmental Demands :

Physical : Handling, lifting, reaching, standing, walking. Visual acuity and fine motor skills. Ability to handle potential exposure to blood, body fluids, chemicals, and electrical hazards.

Mental : Ability to handle multiple directives, set priorities.

Environment : Patient care setting with potential exposure to infections and hazards; safety guidelines must be followed.
