Description :

The position involves working in an Interventional Radiology unit.

Technologists will be responsible for scrubbing, passing supplies, setting up, and taking down the procedure room.

The department has six labs for pre-operative and phase two recovery.

On average, twenty to thirty cases are performed daily.

Common patient diagnoses include vascular and neuro conditions, drains, and lines.

The electronic medical record system used is EPIC, with Phillips monitors in the lab.

A charge nurse is present on each shift from 7 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM, but does not take patients and covers for lunch breaks.

Shifts are nine hours long, four days per week.

Weeknight and weekend call requirements exist, with a response time of thirty minutes.

There is no floating between departments allowed.

Scrub color and dress code will be provided.

Unit-specific orientation lasts three to five days in the lab.
