Case Mix : 80% Oncology / 20% Hematology

Hematology Scope : Includes benign and malignant cases

FACILITY INFORMATION

EMR System : Epic

Office Equipment Available : TBD

Specialty Backup Available : Interventional Radiology (handles most bone marrow procedures)

Support Staff Available : 1 MD, 1 NP, additional nursing staff

Reason for Coverage : Vacancy (until full-time hire)

Credentialing Timeline : 120 days

Compliance

Requirements : Immunization record, flu vaccine or declination, negative TB or QuantiFERON Gold test within 1 year of start

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses : Active NY license (required)

Board : Board Certified in Hematology / Oncology (required)

Certifications : Flu vaccine or declination, negative TB / QuantiFERON Gold test within 1 year

Experience : Outpatient Hematology / Oncology practice experience preferred

Other Qualifications : Immunization record required

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide outpatient hematology and oncology care for adults

Manage patient caseload of 1215 patients / day

Collaborate with onsite NP, nursing staff, and physician team

Document encounters accurately in Epic EMR

Perform or coordinate bone marrow procedures as appropriate
