We're seeking a passionate and proactive Parks Steward to join our team, someone who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty (literally!) and is excited to operate everything from hand tools to heavy machinery. Think of it as 'extreme gardening' meets 'community service' with more chainsaws, less cubicles, and a whole lot of fresh air!
Hiring salary : $18.00 / hour
The City of Aurora provides uniforms to selected candidates. This is classified as VHBE (Variable Hour Benefit Eligible), where the selected candidate will work up to 40 hours per week. The selected candidate will be eligible to elect Medical, Dental and Vision Benefits as well as accrue paid time off and receive 11 paid holidays.
The Parks Steward is an integral member of the team responsible for maintenance and stewardship of public lands, resources, infrastructure, and facilities in order to provide safe and healthy homes for plants and animals, as well as safe and pleasant human experiences.
