POSITION SUMMARY :
The Supervisor Interventional Lab provides superior quality, competitive value, and outstanding service by creating a collaborative environment for interdisciplinary staff, ensuring the availability of high-quality, accurate examinations, and participating in the cost-effective management of the interventional radiology and cardiac cath labs.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES :
- Assists manager with regular check-ins and annual competencies; ensures all associates comply with annual requirements within designated time frame.
- Responsible for timekeeping, scheduling, and delegating staff to ensure safe care of patients.
- Assists with implementation of performance improvement strategies and activitiesto improve workflow operations, quality patient care outcomes, and customer delight. Actively seek evidence-based best practices.
- Assists with development of interventional radiology and cath lab services, policies, procedures, and ensures staff compliance.
- Completes / delegates assigned audits and monitors accurately and in a timely manner. Works with the coding department to ensure coding compliance.
- Collaborates with physicians and staff to identify, develop, and improve quality indicators for the interventional radiology and cath labs.
- Collaborates with Invasive Specialist Coach to ensure orientation and competency standards are met.
- Participates in teaching activities for interventional radiology and cardiac services, students, and other Health First associates as required.
- Ensures compliance with The Joint Commission, and other organizational and regulatory standards within the department.
- Oversees the maintenance of the daily patient log and patient information databases.
- Assists manager with productivity / financial stats to ensure all information is entered timely and accurately.
- Coordinates evaluation of new equipment for the interventional radiology and cath labs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Education : Graduate of program for :Registered Radiologic Technologist, orCardiovascular Invasive Specialist or,Registered NurseWork Experience : Minimum of two (2) years progressive clinical experience within interventional and or cath lab.Licensure :Registered Radiological Technologist, orRegistered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, orCurrent State of Florida RN licensure or endorsement.Certification :American Heart Association Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start date and maintained.American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Healthcare Provider Completion Card must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained.Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to relate to patients, family, or other healthcare members professionally, and in a caring and courteous manner.Ability to prioritize and organize workload to maximize quality, value, and service.Ability to take initiative and use independent judgment.Ability to work competently in stressful, high-volume periods and emergent situations.Ability to collaborate with physicians.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education : Bachelor's Degree or BSN.Work Experience : Previous leadership.Certification : RCIS and / or RCES.PHYSICAL DEMANDS - Heavy
Physically agile; requires walking, standing, running, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, or crouching majority of the shift.Heavy work that frequently includes lifting or moving objects up to 100 pounds or more with or without assistance.May require moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces, including reaching out and above shoulders or over head.May lift, turn, pull, push, or ambulate people and / or equipment with or without assistance up to 90% of the assigned shift.May be exposed to inside environments and outside environments with extreme temperatures, air contamination, dirt, grease or water.May require working with biohazards such as blood / body fluids and airborne particles following OSHA and CDC Guidelines.May operate various types of manual and motorized equipment used in the transportation of materials.May be exposed to intense noise or vibration and awkward or confined work position.Communicating with others to exchange information.Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks.May require travel to various facilities within and beyond county perimeter; may require use of personal vehicle.Benefits
