Job Overview - Mental Health Therapist (Outpatient Services) :
Compensation : $27 - $37 / hour
Location : Burton, MI
Schedule : Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM
TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Mental Health Therapist (Outpatient Services) in Burton, MI, for our client. In this full-time role, you'll provide evidence-based individual, family, and group therapy, conduct crisis interventions, and support treatment planning. Ideal for licensed or limited-licensed clinicians committed to serving diverse populations and delivering high-quality outpatient behavioral health care.
Responsibilities as the Mental Health Therapist (Outpatient Services) :
- Therapeutic Interventions : Provide individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based models such as CBT, DBT, MI, and trauma-informed practices.
- Care Planning : Develop and update person-centered treatment plans based on clinical assessments and client objectives.
- Assessment & Screening : Conduct intake evaluations, risk assessments, and diagnostic screenings to inform personalized treatment.
- Crisis Response : Deliver crisis intervention, safety planning, and referral support in alignment with evidence-based protocols.
- Documentation & Compliance : Maintain accurate, timely clinical records in accordance with agency policies and regulatory standards.
Qualifications for the Mental Health Therapist (Outpatient Services) :
Education : Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field.Licensure : Active Michigan licensure required (LMSW, LPC, LLP, LMFT); candidates with limited licensure (LLMSW, LLC, TLLP, or LLMFT) eligible with plan to obtain full licensure.Experience : Minimum of 1 year providing therapy to individuals with mental health disorders, emotional disturbances, or developmental disabilities.Technical Skills : Proficiency in evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, MI, or trauma-focused models (familiarity with EMRs preferred).Skills & Attributes : Strong interpersonal skills, compassionate communication, and ability to engage diverse clients including adults, children, and youth.Additional : Valid Michigan driver's license and auto insurance required; ability to travel locally for community and home-based services if needed.Application Notice : Qualified candidates will be contacted within 2 business days of application.
