The Role

At Living Room, the Prep Cook is an essential member of our culinary team, responsible for the foundational tasks that ensure our kitchen operates smoothly. As a Prep Cook, you’ll be at the heart of the kitchen, supporting the chefs by preparing ingredients, maintaining a clean workspace, and contributing to the overall success of each service.

• Ingredient Preparation : Accurately and efficiently prepare ingredients, including washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing vegetables, preparing meats, and other essential tasks to ensure readiness for cooking.
• Food Safety & Sanitation : Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, ensuring a clean and organized work area. This includes properly storing ingredients, labeling food items, and maintaining cleanliness in all prep areas.
• Assisting Chefs : Support the kitchen team by setting up and stocking stations with necessary supplies, preparing components for dishes, and assisting in other tasks as needed during service.
• Quality Control : Ensure that all prepared ingredients meet the quality standards of Living Room, paying attention to detail to maintain the consistency and excellence of our dishes.
• Kitchen Maintenance : Assist with the cleaning of kitchen equipment, dishes, and workspaces at the end of shifts, contributing to a well-maintained kitchen environment.
