About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Education : Associate's degree in Nursing required.

Experience : 1-3 years of previous RN experience preferred.

Medical terminology knowledge preferred.

Strong teamwork and communication skills required.

Flexibility to cover 24 hours a day, 7 days a week is essential.

Ability to float to other units as needed is required.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

Description :

The RN partners with residents and other care providers to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment.

This includes providing direct and indirect care to residents.

The position involves working with individuals who have Alzheimer's / dementia, tailoring care to meet their needs.

Key aspects of the role include using verbal and non-verbal communication techniques.

Understanding the difficult behaviors associated with Alzheimer's and dementia is crucial.

These behaviors can be valid forms of communication.

The RN provides needed care to residents in a home-like environment.

The role also includes providing short-term skilled nursing and rehabilitation services to patients recovering from various illnesses or injuries.

Nursing services often encompass IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment and management.

The RN contributes to the overall care of residents needing long-term placement.

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work well within a team of other care providers.
