In partnership with the Senior Director of Communications & Audience Strategy, the Director will design and build a cohesive customer-based audience strategy, workflow, and activation plan across upper, mid, and lower funnel media channels, with a particular emphasis on addressable channels. They will lead audience creation and activation efforts, oversee processes and technology usage, and build a strong partnership with the Customer Driven Insights & Activation team to understand the customer and business strategy and translate them into actionable paid media tactics with measurable outcomes. The Director will work closely with customer strategy, measurement, and analytics teams to uncover performance trends and audience insights, identifying opportunities for improvement through recommended enhancements and plans. Additionally, they will lead and identify new processes and innovative program opportunities that align with the Macy's brand while driving retail innovation. Collaboration with agencies, internal and external analytics partners, and the MarTech stack will be essential to understanding media-attributed customer quality, acquisition, and retention.

CDPs & Audience Technology : Hands-on experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), people-based audience platforms, and familiarity with media attribution and media mix modeling.
Ecommerce & Digital Ecosystem Knowledge : Baseline understanding of ecommerce operations, including site structure, taxonomy, team workflows, digital marketplaces, and media networks.
