Title : Medical Director Antimicrobial Stewardship at Missouri Baptist Hospital
Position Description :
The Division of Infectious Diseases at Washington University School of Medicine (WashU) in St. Louis is seeking a full-time faculty member to serve as the Medical Director of Antimicrobial Stewardship at Missouri Baptist Hospital . This role will provide salary support for antibiotic stewardship leadership at Missouri Baptist Hospital. The remaining effort will be spent in clinical work at Missouri Baptist, as an infectious diseases consultant.

Missouri Baptist Medical Center is a 489-bed acute-care facility located in the near-western suburbs of St. Louis County. It is routinely ranked among the best hospitals in Missouri. Missouri Baptist’s specialized care includes oncology, heart care, obstetrics, women’s health, pediatrics, neurology, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke care, pain management, breast health and many other specialties. Outpatient locations in Sunset Hills, Rock Hill and Chesterfield offer women’s health, cancer treatment, imaging, labs, and additional services. Missouri Baptist launched a residency program in internal medicine in July 2025, with 29 residents in the inaugural class.

Role Overview :
The successful candidate will be a strong infectious diseases clinician with experience in antimicrobial stewardship. Clinical responsibilities will be shared with other Washington University Infectious Diseases physicians in the West County ID practice group. ID faculty at Missouri Baptist are expected to participate in the didactic and clinical teaching for the internal medicine residency program.

Lead and oversee all aspects Antimicrobial Stewardship programs at Missouri Baptist Medical Center (MBMC).
Develop and implement educational initiatives in antimicrobial stewardship for the Missouri Baptist Internal Medicine Residency Program.
Collaborate with departments at WashU and MBMC, as well as clinical partners, to provide evidence-based guidance on antimicrobial stewardship.
Develop, lead, and evaluate initiatives to optimize antimicrobial use across the organization.
