Job descriptionGood machining skills. Shop math Must be able to read blueprints. Use measuring instruments (i.e., micrometers, calipers, comparators). Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a tool maker for a manufacturing facility.

The tool and die maker is responsible for performing his / her own set-ups and machine / grind all necessary components required to complete assignments given to support all manufacturing product lines.
Specific Duties And Responsibilities
- Strong understanding of slip and press fit relationships.
- Repair Header tools and make complete header tool components.
- Work with carbide, hardened tool steels, dies and cutting tools to close tolerance.
- Work with mills, lathes, surface grinders, hones, and fixtures.
- Use shop math as required.
- Clean and maintain the work area.
