Overview
Physician - Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, Retina Division (Open Rank / Track Faculty). Full-time clinician or clinician-scientist faculty position in Medical Retina. Academic rank and track commensurate with academic record and experience.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in Medical Retina, primarily in OSU multi-specialty medical office buildings and surgical suites in the Columbus metro area, with participation in coverage at Columbus VA as required.
- Contribute to teaching, research / scholarship, and service; pursue opportunities in quality improvement, curriculum development, and education initiatives consistent with the faculty assignment.
- Engage in patient care, research, and education; participate in divisional, departmental, and college committee functions and involvement in local, regional, or national professional organizations as appropriate.
Requirements
Board-eligible or board-certified in Ophthalmology by the time of appointment; eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio.MD or DO degree; completed an approved residency in Ophthalmology; subspecialty training in a Retina fellowship is required.Knowledge and proficiency in medical and surgical management within the subspecialty; demonstrated interest in scholarship with basic and / or clinical research and publications; commitment to education of residents, fellows, and medical students.How To Apply
