  • Location : Leonardtown, Maryland (20650) – Southern Maryland healthcare jobs\n
  • Unit : Telemetry Unit\n
  • Contract Length : 16 weeks (Start : 11 / 17 / 2025 – End : 3 / 9 / 2026)\n
  • Shift : Night shifts, 3x12-hour (18 : 45 – 07 : 24)\n
  • Hours per Week : 36\n
  • Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend (6 weekend shifts per 6 weeks)\n
  • Orientation : 36 hours\n
  • Estimated Weekly Salary : $1590 - $1710\n

    • \n\nTelemetry Registered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry RN experience\n
  • Active Maryland or compact state Registered Nurse license\n
  • Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS\n
  • Proficient in cardiac telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation\n
  • Experience with Cerner electronic charting system preferred\n
  • Two supervisor references required\n
  • Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)\n
  • Willingness to float to units of equal or lower acuity\n
  • Open to first-time travel nurses\n

    • \n\nTelemetry RN Responsibilities\n \n

  • Monitor and manage patients with cardiac conditions including CHF, MI, Atrial Fibrillation / Flutter, Stroke / TIA\n
  • Interpret and respond to telemetry and cardiac dysrhythmia findings\n
  • Deliver care to patients with acute and chronic illnesses such as renal failure, COPD, diabetes, COVID-19, pneumonia, and sepsis\n
  • Assist with special procedures including peritoneal dialysis and continuous telemetry monitoring\n
  • Utilize safe patient handling equipment and ceiling lifts in every room\n
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams : PT, RT, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response\n
  • Float to other nursing units as needed\n
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold high standards of patient care\n
