About The Position

Job Title : Locum to Perm Advanced Practice ProviderJob Specialty : Neurology - Critical CareJob Duration : 6-month assignmentShift : Nights 6p-6a (12-hour shift) - 7 on / 7 off or 4 nights one week followed by 3 nightsGuaranteed Hours : Not specifiedExperience : Experience working with stroke patients and in a neuro ICU at a level 1 trauma center is requiredLicense : Active Ohio license or willingness to obtainCertifications : BLS, ACLS, (ENLS preferred)Must-Have : - Board Certified / Board Eligible as a PA or CNP- Comfortable covering a neuro ICUJob Description : - Provide critical care neuro coverage in a hospital-based setting- Collaborate with a team that includes 2 neuro intensivists (available by phone at nights)- Engage with a patient population made up entirely of adults, with 40% experiencing trauma- Manage an average census in the Neuro ICU of 10 patients, with neurosurgery consults averaging 5 per night- Utilize onsite lab and X-ray facilities - Work within a comprehensive stroke unit at a level 1 trauma center - Use the Epic EMR documentation system - Engage in an environment without other neurologists present during tenure - Travel and lodging accommodation in accordance with facility guidelines
