Quebec Licensed Legal Counsel

A company is looking for a Legal Counsel, Risk & Disputes.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate business decisions and provide legal risk advice to senior leaders

Respond to disputes and third-party investigations, excluding employment disputes

Manage formal legal proceedings and support regulatory inquiries and court documentation

Required Qualifications

LL.B. or J.D. and a member of a Canadian provincial bar association, preferably in Quebec

3-5 years of litigation experience, with a mix of private practice and in-house experience

Knowledge in banking law and the financial services industry, particularly in Quebec

Ability to build effective relationships with internal partners and external counsel

Bilingualism in English and French is required
