Lateral Police Officer Posting

This lateral police officer posting is for an assignment as a Special Victims Unit Detective with experience in Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC). Performs law enforcement, crime prevention work; patrols an assigned area for the prevention of crime, the maintenance of law and order; performs investigative work including special assignments. Also performs a variety of technical law enforcement tasks.

Education and / or experience : High School Diploma or GED required. Additional requirements include : 3 years special investigations detective experience including child abuse, sexual abuse, sex trafficking, and / or internet crimes against children; successful investigation and prosecution of an applicable case.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations : Must have at the time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Arizona driver license. Must be a Certified Police Officer at the time of application.

Selection process : Applicants whose education, training and experience most closely meet the needs of the position may be invited to participate in a selection process to include panel interviews. Successful candidates will receive a post-offer, pre-employment background screening to include : fingerprinting, criminal background screening, drug screen, polygraph evaluation, physical evaluation, psychological evaluation, E-Verify, and 39 month motor vehicle department records check.
