Position Overview

As an Employment Consultant at MentorX, you'll work closely with students to empower their job seeking journeys—from clarifying career direction to building job search skills. In addition to career coaching, you'll actively help students expand job opportunities by identifying and developing partnerships with hiring companies

This role is ideal for someone with a background in HR, talent acquisition, recruiting, or career services , who is passionate about mentoring and student success.

This is an onsite position, and you will be required to work from our Irvine office on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one career coaching and interview preparation for students entering the job market.
• Help students create personalized career development and job search action plans.
• Guide students on how to align their strengths with real-world hiring needs and opportunities.
• Track student progress and adjust career support plans as needed.
• Answer student questions related to job searching, workplace expectations, and professional growth.
• Collaborate with internal teams to design activities, events, and workshops supporting student employment success.
• Proactively develop and maintain relationships with companies and hiring managers to open up more job opportunities for students.
• Work with the BD (Business Development) team to build pipelines of hiring partners and internship hosts.
• Provide timely feedback to students and internal stakeholders on student performance and placement outcomes.
