Oracle PL / SQL Developer

Position Title : Oracle PL / SQL Developer

Location : [Manassas, VA, 20110]

Job Description

We are looking for a Software Developer to work on development, testing, and support of enterprise applications built on Oracle and UNIX-based platforms . The role involves coding, reviewing, and enhancing existing components, as well as designing and implementing new features. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to support testing, QA, and production environments.

Key Responsibilities :

Code, test, and review software applications in a UNIX-based environment

Work with technologies including OCI / Pro

• C, Oracle PLSQL, SQL, Perl, Python, and XML

Perform requirement analysis and design new features and enhancements

Produce and update solution papers, design documents, and technical documentation

Support test environment setup and execution

Develop unit test drivers and functional test drivers

Provide ongoing support to QA and Production environments

Troubleshoot and resolve application and database-related issues

Mandatory Skills : C / C++

Basic to intermediate experience (1 3 years) in C / C++ programming

Ability to read, understand, and modify existing code

Linux / UNIX

Extensive experience working in Linux / UNIX environments

Strong understanding of system commands, processes, and scripting

Oracle Database

Strong hands-on experience with Oracle databases

Ability to work with complex schemas, queries, and performance tuning

PL / SQL

Expert-level experience writing and maintaining PL / SQL packages, procedures, and functions

Python

Experience using Python for scripting, automation, or support tasks

Preferred Skills :

Experience with OCI / Pro

Exposure to Perl scripting

Familiarity with XML-based integrations

Experience supporting enterprise or financial systems

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Good communication and documentation skills
