JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title :
- Production Technician Reports To : Shop Supervisor / Lead Department : Foundry / Spin Room FLSA Status : Non-Exempt SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : Perform specialized operations to consistently spin or static pour parts with proper babbitt bond to backing materials.
SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO :
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS : Prepare production parts for tinning and spinning.Accountable for monitoring temperatures of all equipment used.Maintain Set-Up Book to record information.Daily maintenance of spin room equipment.Perform other duties as assigned. EHS REQUIREMENTS :
Complete all work in a safe manner and follow all safety requirements consistent with supporting the Company’s goals.Follow all environmental requirements consistent with supporting the company’s environmental performance goals.POSITION REQUIREMENTS :
High School Diploma or GED required Familiarity with machine shop environment Must be dependable.Must be reliable to handle equipment safely with a minimum amount of supervision.Mechanical background recommended.PHYSICAL / MENTAL REQUIREMENTS :
Must be able to sit for extend periods of time; a minimum of 2 hours.Capable of lifting 35 pounds.Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working at assigned desk area.Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment.Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
