Director, Information Technology

The Division Director of Information Technology will oversee the strategic and tactical direction of all IT system and infrastructure activities for the global business operations within the Materials Analysis Division of AMETEK. This individual will partner with business leaders to anticipate and recommend opportunities where information technology can advance business capabilities and provide a competitive advantage. The IT Leader will influence, and hold accountable, IT staff and business unit leaders to comply with Corporate directed initiatives. Success is measured by results, integrity, relationship development and change management.

This position reports directly to the Division Vice President General Manager and a functional reporting line to the CIO of AMETEK.

Key Responsibilities :

• Be able to influence, and hold accountable, IT staff and BU leaders to comply with Corporate directed initiatives (cyber security, governance / controls)
• Lead the ERP migration strategy for the division
• Integrate acquisitions
• Be a credible respected leader; able to drive change and transformation
• Partner with the business unit and division management teams to develop and execute strategy including identifying the appropriate use of IT to improve the capabilities and performance of the Division.
• Manage all aspects of business systems and information technology in the Division.
• Ensure a stable and efficient business system and communications environment.
• Develop and maintain a high performing Business Systems and Information Technology Team.
• Engage with centrally led corporate teams and contribute to the development of corporate standards and Policies related to IT and Business Systems. Ensure policy compliance (cyber security, governance / controls) and shared services utilization with the business units
• Provide thought leadership around the application of Sarbanes Oxley and Cyber Security compliance standards.
• Align IT resources to automate manual processes through digital transformation; provide access to data to track measurable results
• Lead the technical aspects of digital projects, including ERP implementations, meeting deadlines and budgets
• Ensure the business or division is adhering to all corporate information security standards and policies.
• Lead the deployment of Cyber Security initiatives in line with AMETEK policy within the business or division.
• Provide business analytics in support of the business growth strategies.
• Spearhead the IT due diligence activities for acquisitions. Make significant contributions to work in the area of investigation of potential acquisitions and lead post acquisition integration execution and delivery.
