Job Description :
We are looking to fill the position of Outside Sales for landscape services, covering Wake, Durham, Orange, Cumberland, and surrounding counties. As an Outside Salesperson, you are responsible for generating leads, managing leads and customers through the sales process, nurturing relationships, networking, and communicating effectively both in writing and verbally. Sales range from small residential projects to $100,000+ commercial projects. This position involves meeting with customers, reviewing their landscape needs, making solution suggestions, and providing proposals. The employee must be motivated and able to work well both in a team environment and independently.
Key Responsibilities :
Respond to office leads and generate new leads
Follow up with contacts and close sales
Proactively contact potential customers and nurture relationships
Educate landscape architects, builders, and developers on services provided
Work with and support the Sales and Design team
Work with and support Project and Operations management team
Target Skill Set and Traits :
High character and integrity
Good people and phone skills; comfortable conversationalist
Comfortable selling premium (higher priced) products
Proficient with email, Excel / Google spreadsheets, and web-based estimating systems
Ability to work well in a team and independently
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to create monthly snapshot reports
Valid Driver's License and a good driving record
Willingness to take ownership of the process
Hours and Pay :
Standard 40-hour work week, with occasional additional hours to close sales
Base salary plus uncapped commission on sales
