Job Title : Physical Therapist

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week

Experience : Minimum of 1 year preferred

License : Licensed Physical Therapist

Certifications : American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification required

Must-Have : Graduate of an accredited program of Physical Therapy

Job Description :

• Responsible for the evaluation of patients referred for physical therapy treatment, formulation of a treatment plan and goals, and administration of physical therapy treatments.
• Engaged in both inpatient and outpatient services, interacting with all hospital departments and medical staff.
• Provide one-on-one patient care with one 45-minute appointment every hour.
• Perform appropriate evaluation tests and measurements based on the patient's diagnosis.
• Develop treatment plans, reassess and revise every 6 weeks or earlier based on patient progress.
• Perform physical therapy techniques and use modalities appropriate to the diagnosis.
• Document progress reports for patients in a timely manner to coincide with physician follow-up visits, and assist with compliance for insurance carriers and utilization review companies for authorization and reimbursement.
• Share coverage duties for inpatient care on holidays and Sundays with other physical therapists (generally one holiday per year and Sunday coverage 6-8 times per year).
