Job Summary :
The Medical Assistant Team Lead provides clinical and operational leadership to ensure the delivery of efficient, high-quality, patient-centered care. This position supervises the medical assistant team, coordinates daily workflow, and supports providers in delivering comprehensive family medicine services to patients of all ages. The Lead MA promotes excellence in clinical practice, staff education, and compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and mission-driven - committed to supporting Hamilton Health Center’s goal of improving community health and ensuring every patient receives compassionate, accessible care.

What You'll Do : Clinical Support :
Provide patient and staff education when necessary.Ensure appropriate follow-up care for abnormal lab results as directed by medical providers.Supervise the Medical Assistant Team on the floor.Oversee special projects in Adult Medicine, like STD, PHQ9, and Family Planning.Document all patient interactions in medical records.Enforce compliance within the EHS related to accurate documentation, education, orders, and HIPAA.Millersburg Family Care Operational Support :
Guide support staff in maintaining clinical skills and provide additional education / training.Produce required monthly reports and order medical supplies / medications as instructed.Submit necessary reports by scheduled due dates.Participate in Millersburg Family Care and Nursing meetings, conduct departmental audits, and attend program trainings / meetings.Ensure continuity of care, follow-up, appointments, and referrals are completed.Coordinate staff compliance with CPR certification and PPD requirements.Coordination and Supervision :
Efficiently assign team functions for patient care during clinic sessions.Enforce Hamilton Health Center personnel policies and address disciplinary concerns.Oversee new employee training, orientation checklist completion, and required skills.Monitor work quality to maintain optimal patient care standards.Collaborate with QI coordinator to implement departmental processes.Assist in performance appraisals for staff and manage time and attendance according to policy.Ensure staff compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and Joint Commission standards.Demonstrate understanding of PCMH and HHC services / resources available to patients.Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the RN Manager.Requirements :
Healthcare Knowledge : At least two (2) years’ experience in Family Practice care.Tech-Savvy : Proficiency in basic data entry computer skills.Strong Interpersonal Skills : Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.Team Player : An industrious and cooperative nature to foster harmonious working relationships with clinic management, physicians, clinicians, and the public.Education : High School diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited medical assistant program, required. CMA, CCMA, or RMA certification is required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.Preferred Qualifications :
Active CPR / First Aid certification, able to obtain certification within 6 months of job placement.Knowledge of The Joint Commission regulationsBilingual in Spanish, Nepali, FrenchAbout Hamilton Health Center
