Job Title : Electrical Aircraft Mechanics-Levels I, II, & III

Location : San Antonio, TX 78226

Job Type : Full-Time; Consultant (9 Months)

Schedule : Monday – Friday; must be available to work variable shifts (1st, 2nd, and / or 3rd) with overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed

Pay Range : 33 – 40 per hour (based on experience and role level)

As part of our team, you’ll work hands-on with advanced aircraft systems—performing electrical modifications, troubleshooting, and repairs that ensure mission readiness.

What You’ll Do

Depending on skill level and assignment, responsibilities may include :

Perform electrical modifications to wiring and system components on and off aircraft.

Complete connector terminations (shielded wires, coaxial cables, fiber optic wiring).

Route, seal, wrap, bond, tie, and close wire harnesses and cables per process standards.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, and retrofit specifications.

Troubleshoot and repair electrical, avionics, and environmental systems at organizational and depot levels.

Conduct operational testing, system check-outs, and quality inspections.

Support team operations in production, maintenance, and modification programs.

Safely operate tools, equipment, and powered elevating platforms while adhering to Hazardous Energy / Lock Out–Tag Out procedures.

Collaborate with General, Structures, and Avionics mechanics to meet program milestones.

What You’ll Bring

Entry-Level / Intermediate Roles (33 – 35 / hr) :

1+ years of aircraft maintenance, mechanical, or electrical experience.

Familiarity with electrical / electronic theories and systems.

Ability to follow engineering drawings, work instructions, and schematics.

Experienced Roles (35 – 40 / hr) :

4–10+ years of aircraft electrical / avionics maintenance and troubleshooting experience.

Proficiency in complex connector terminations, wiring installations, and system testing.

Experience working on depot-level or aircraft modification programs.

Ability to mentor junior mechanics and lead process improvements.

All Roles Require :

Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift up to 35 lbs., and pass vision / color-perception testing.

Flexibility to work variable shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays.

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and / or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies : 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.

For senior-level roles : Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.

Preferred :

Avionics or FAA A&P certifications.

Experience with hazardous material handling.

Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, or powered elevating equipment.

Pay Details : 33.00 to 35.00 per hour
