Certified High School Science Teachers

Location : Wilmington, DE 19805

Compensation Rate : Up to $55 per hour, depending on experience

Full-Time | K12 School Setting

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated High School Science Teacher to join a charter school in Wilmington, DE. The teacher will deliver engaging instruction in science, create a supportive classroom environment, and help students succeed academically, socially, and in preparing for future opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Valid Delaware Teaching License with 912 certification in Science (or eligibility)
  • Successful completion of Praxis II exams
  • AP or Dual Enrollment teaching experience preferred
  • Additional qualifications as determined by the school administration

Responsibilities

  • Teach high school science content effectively to diverse learners
  • Develop lesson plans that meet students individual needs and curriculum standards
  • Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Assess student progress regularly and communicate with parents as needed
  • Provide individualized and small-group instruction to support learning
  • Collaborate with colleagues, staff, and parents to support student success
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with policies and regulations
  • Serve as an advisor to a small student group, supporting academic, behavioral, and college readiness goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned by administration

  • Tuberculin Test required
  • Mandatory Direct Deposit for payroll
  • Must be willing to relocate or commute reliably to Wilmington, DE 19805
