Bema, Incorporated and Elite Extrusion, a recognized leader in the flexible packaging industry, is looking for an experienced Flexo PrePress Technician with a proven track record in supporting a fast-paced organization. Requirements:
- Color management experience
- Strong hands-on experience of Flexo process work (3-5 years)
- Macintosh OS / Windows atmosphere
- Thorough knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop
- Knowledge of Esko Artwork Software
- Workflow building and automation experience
- Color separation output ability as well as thorough knowledge of trapping
- Organized and detail oriented
- Objectively evaluates employee performance and trains/coaches to improve area performance.
- Digital Press workflow and prepress knowledge
Responsibilities:
- Work with electronic files from customers to manipulate, edit and process them for printing.
- Ensure all customer specifications are met. Analyzes files for fonts, images, color and printability.
- Quality assurance of all proofs / files / plates
- Problem solves file issues
- Work overtime as needed
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions.
- Communicate effectively with all departments to ensure work continuity.
- Respond to inquiries and complaints from internal and external customers
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Keep abreast of technological developments within the prepress process and evaluates changes that could improve operation.
- Covers the responsibilities of the Plant Manager in their absence.
- All other duties assigned by management.
- Organize job flow and customer needs
- Maintain equipment and schedule maintenance of equipment
- Helps ensure all policies for the company and the American Institute of Baking (AIB) are followed.
