Central Sterile Technician

Adecco Healthcare and Life Sciences is currently hiring for a Central Sterile Technician role for their client in Newark, NJ location .

Job Type - Temp

Shift Hours - 10am to 6pm (M-F)

Pay - 23-25 / HR

Roles and Responsibilities -

• Operates and monitors steam Autoclaves ,sonic washers and other sterilizing equipment. Keeps records of load completed ,items in load and maintenance procedures performed .
• Decontaminates and sterilizes instruments ,equipment, assembles wraps and sterilizers cassettes ,trays and instruments . Follows proper standard precautions while in decontamination and sterilization areas.
• Monitors biological and chemical wash solution to ensure quality and consistency for decontamination of instruments and equipment .
• Maintains necessary supply levels in sterile storage areas .
• Verifies that equipment functions properly ,requisitions for equipment maintenance ,repair or replacement and removes defective equipment .
• Assists with maintaining established departmental policies and procedures ,objectives and quality improvement , safety and environmental and infection control standards .
• Examines equipment to detect leak, worn or loose parts or other indications of disrepair .
• Maintain storage rooms , participates in quality assurance activities as assigned .

Pay Details : $23.00 to $25.00 per hour
