Job Details : \n

  • Work 3x12 hour rotating shifts : 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 30 PM and 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM

    • \n

  • Patient ratios of 1 : 1 or 1 : 2 based on patient acuity

    • \n

  • Required to work 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule with holiday rotation

    • \n

  • May float to NICU, PICU, and Pediatric Stepdown units as needed

    • \n

  • Guaranteed hours with traveler may be cancelled one shift per 2 weeks

    • \n

  • 2 years of Pediatric Cardiac ICU experience required

    • \n

  • Cardiovascular and Pediatric experience required

    • \n

  • VAD experience highly preferred

    • \n

  • First-time travelers accepted

    • \n

  • South Carolina or Multi-State / Compact RN license required

    • \n

  • Required certifications : PALS and BLS (American Heart Association only)

    • \n

  • Preferred certification : ACLS (American Heart Association only)

    • \n

  • 12-hour orientation provided

    • \n

  • VAD training required upon arrival to unit

    • \n

  • Self-scheduling system

    • \n

  • Care for patients with congenital heart disease of any age

    • \n

  • Work with specialized equipment including ECMO, CRRT, Berlin Hearts, HeartMate3, Impella, and VAD

    • \n

  • Provide care for cardiac surgical and medical diagnoses

    • \n

  • Epic charting system

    • \n

  • $20 parking registration fee for garage hang tag

    • \n

  • Non-billable modules averaging 4 hours completed pre-start

    • \n

  • All RTO must be provided at time of submission

    This healthcare facility features a 29-bed Gold Beacon Award-winning Pediatric Cardiology Intensive Care unit that serves as the referral center for all major pediatric cardiac surgery in South Carolina. The facility is recognized as #4 in the US News report and #1 in the nation for outcomes. Operating as a Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, and Magnet Hospital with 820 total staffed beds, the facility provides comprehensive cardiac care including cardiac surgery, Ventricular Assist Devices, Heart Transplant, and cardiac catheterization. The unit maintains an average daily census of 26 patients and offers advanced supportive therapies including ECMO / CRRT with comprehensive interdisciplinary support services.
