Job Description

American Traveler seeks a Home Health Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of recent experience, OASIS and HCHB proficiency, and active license for day shift coverage in a large regional territory.

Responsibilities

  • Home health therapy setting serving a 60-mile radius from the office hub
  • Geriatric patient caseload with an average of 5-7 patients per day
  • Use of HCHB (Homecare Homebase) EMR required
  • Day shifts (5x8 hours) from 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM
  • On-call required every 3rd to 4th weekend
  • Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate
  • iPad provided for documentation
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation and communication
  • Dress code requires scrubs of any color; jeans not permitted
  • Travel pairs accepted, but each traveler must have their own territory and transportation
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Requested time off must be submitted with application
  • Former perm employees must have a 6-month separation and HR approval to be eligible
  • No cell phone provided; iPad is supplied for work use
  • Flexibility and willingness to cover a broad geographic area required

    • Requirements

  • Active Occupational Therapist license required if applicable
  • Minimum 1 year of recent home health OT experience
  • OASIS experience required for Start of Care
  • Proficiency with HCHB EMR required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Valid driver's license and personal transportation required
  • Ability to work independently across multiple locations
  • Home Health or Hospice Checklist completion required
