Instrumentation Technician III

  • Most work will be in the Milwaukee, WI area, with potential for other locations in WI and Minneapolis, MN

GE Healthcare is seeking a Blood Pressure Cuff Conversion Specialist. The technician will work with medical equipment in hospitals and clinics, locating, switching out, or converting blood pressure cuffs and devices. Interaction with hospital staff and patients is required.

Job specifics :

  • Pay : $18.42 / hour; no healthcare benefits
  • Workdays : Monday to Friday, no weekends
  • Hours : generally 7am to 7pm, with occasional early starts or late finishes
  • Onboarding includes credentialing (shots, background check, drug test)
  • Reliable personal transportation and a personal cell phone (reimbursed up to $10 / week) are mandatory
  • Dress code : scrubs or khakis and polo shirt; comfortable shoes required
  • Immediate start preferred; flexible hours, part-time or full-time

    • Overnight Travel :

  • Per diem : $35 / day for food
  • Travel reimbursement : mileage at $0.54 / mile and time if over 50 miles
  • Hotel bills are prepaid

    • Characteristics of Successful Candidates :

  • Hard Worker : Ability to hustle and work efficiently during the entire shift, quick in hospital settings.
  • Detail Oriented & Multi-Tasker : Ability to locate and convert cuffs rapidly, within about 30 seconds, including in limited or isolation rooms following safety protocols.
  • Punctual & Responsible : Always on time, reliable transportation, flexible with hours.
  • Friendly, Outgoing & Professional : Good communication skills, ability to handle challenging interactions, and capable of conducting in-service training.
