Senior Mold Designer & Toolmaker
Location : Westchester County, NY
Type : Full-Time
Salary : $90,000 - $100,000+
About the Role
Design precision tooling for components that power Mars rovers, fighter aircraft, and submarine systems. We manufacture ultra-miniature magnetic components for aerospace and defense applications where failure is not an option. If you're passionate about extreme precision and want your work to matter, this is your opportunity.
What You'll Do
- Design ultra-precision injection molds for miniature transformers, inductors, and power supplies (some as small as 0.31" x 0.31")
- Fabricate micro-scale tooling with tolerances to ±0.0001" for components operating in extreme environments (-55°ree;C to +130°ree;C)
- Operate advanced CNC and wire EDM equipment to create complex tooling for components with wire gauges as fine as 52 AWG
- Engineer solutions for hermetic sealing, vacuum impregnation, and automated encapsulation systems
- Support military and aerospace certification processes, ensuring compliance with MIL-STD requirements
