Job Description
Based in the Central or Eastern United States, you will sell EC fans and air-moving solutions into HVACR OEMs, system integrators, and equipment manufacturers. You will meet with customers at engineering centers, plants, and offices to present products, capture requirements, and define next steps. You will turn HVAC system needs into clear proposals, quotes, samples, and validation plans, then drive design-ins from concept through mass production.
Day to day, you will coordinate closely with our Asia-based R&D, applications engineering, and manufacturing teams to keep projects, builds, and schedules on track. You own the accounts, the pipeline, the forecast, and the close. HVAC and EC fan industry experience is strongly preferred; Mandarin/English bilingual skills are a plus.
Responsibilities
Prospect and qualify new opportunities with HVAC OEMs, system integrators, and ventilation equipment manufacturers
Build long-term relationships through regular customer visits, design reviews, lab discussions, and industry events
Meet onsite with customer engineering, sourcing, and product teams to present EC fan solutions and capture application requirements
Translate requirements into proposals, pricing, quotes, and sample/validation plans; manage RFIs/RFQs, NDAs, and onboarding processes
Drive HVAC design-ins from early concept through EVT/DVT, qualification, pilot builds, and mass production
Coordinate daily with Asia-based R&D and manufacturing teams on fan selections, testing, changes, schedules, and escalations
Track samples, shipments, POs, and production ramps; resolve issues quickly with Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality
Maintain accurate CRM data; deliver timely pipeline updates, forecasts, and account status reports
Follow up after delivery to verify system performance, resolve integration issues, and ensure customer satisfaction
Provide first-line commercial and application support; engage applications engineering or R&D for deeper technical topics
Monitor HVAC market trends, customer roadmaps, and competitive activity (EC fans, motors, airflow and efficiency regulations)
Feed customer and market input into product planning, pricing strategy, and roadmap development
Stay current on HVAC air-moving fundamentals: airflow/pressure, acoustics, EC motors, BLDC control, electrical interfaces, and system integration
Build and execute a territory plan across the Central/Eastern U.S. and Canada; coordinate with other regions where programs overlap
Experience
5+ years of experience in HVAC, EC fans, motors, or air-moving products in business development or technical sales
Based in the Central or Eastern U.S. with regular travel to customer sites; travel approximately 2540% (U.S. and Canada)
Experience selling into HVAC OEMs, air handler manufacturers, refrigeration or ventilation equipment companies
Familiarity with HVAC design-in cycles: RFI/RFQ, qualification testing, pilot builds, production ramp, and change control
Strong pipeline discipline with clean CRM usage, accurate forecasting, and consistent follow-through
Comfortable coordinating across time zones with Asia-based engineering and manufacturing teams
Able to explain HVAC air-moving concepts clearly: airflow/pressure, acoustics, EC motors, fan curves, and system integration
Preferred Experience
Proven design-in wins for EC fans or air-moving solutions in HVAC equipment
Hands-on experience with HVAC applications such as air handlers, condensers, evaporators, heat pumps, and ventilation systems
Working knowledge of BLDC motor control, PWM/analog signals, and electrical integration
Track record of taking opportunities from first meeting through production with measurable revenue results
Experience with pricing structures, NRE/tooling, long-term agreements, and cost-down/TCO discussions
Proven execution with global R&D and manufacturing teams
Mandarin/English bilingual skills are a plus
