Revenue Cycle Liaison
Shall have a thorough understanding of all aspects related to revenue cycle including, but not limited to, registration, billing, collections, payment processing, and various reporting functions. This role shall also be responsible for designated accounts receivable related to specialized services such as school-based treatment centers and / or women's health as assigned. As part of fulfilling these responsibilities to ensure the efficient and effective management and performance, this individual shall, from time to time, exercise discretion (good judgment), when making an administrative decision. Staff in this position must meet the requirements of a Revenue Cycle Specialist II. The Revenue Cycle Liaison reports to the Director of Revenue Cycle Operations.
Determines opportunities to improve efficiency.
Compiles and reports monthly activity as required.
Shall work to resolve claims issues for assigned accounts receivable.
Shall develop, analyze and maintain specific reports to evaluate processes, demonstrate utilization and identify care gaps.
Receives and resolves patient complaints for specific programs as required.
Produces written management reports and materials as required for distribution.
Performs other duties as assigned or when necessary.
Participates in the department's performance improvement activities. Analyzes all aspects of program operations to develop and implement strategies for resolution in conjunction with the Director of Billing Operation.
Maintains patient / employee confidentiality in the management of information.
May be required to train and / or facilitate guidance as necessary to ensure compliance with designated programs or special contracts and designated areas of responsibility related to IFH front end practices as it relates to revenue cycle.
Will be required to travel between sites, hospitals, or various organizations when collaborating on certain initiatives and special projects.
Qualifications
Key Knowledge, Skills, Abilities :
Education :
High School Diploma, or equivalent work experience (Required)
Associate's degree (Preferred)
Computer Proficiency (Required) :
Basic computer and internet navigational skills (Required)
Familiarity with Microsoft applications (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) (Required)
Work Experience :
Five (5) years of relevant experience, at least three (3) of which were in a comparable healthcare setting. (Required)
Experience using technology to present and effectively communicate ideas and training material to various groups (Preferred)
Prior experience as an IFH Revenue Cycle Specialist II (Preferred)
