POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a high-performing, hands-on Cardiology Sales Representative to lead the charge in launching our new product across hospital systems in Texas and the Midwest. This is a unique opportunity to shape the market for a novel technology, requiring someone who thrives in ambiguity, builds clarity through action, and executes with precision.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential Functions of the Position) include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Sales Development & Lead Generation

  • Proactively identify, research, and reach out to potential customers within target segments – cardiology space
  • Drive new business by building a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Act as the first point of contact for prospects—conduct initial discovery calls to understand needs and determine fit.
  • Partner with the BDR team to qualify inbound leads and develop outbound strategies.

Product Launch & Market Development

  • Lead the introduction and adoption of ImpediMed’s BIS-based heart failure solution within cardiology departments and heart failure clinics.
  • Represent ImpediMed at trade shows, industry events, and targeted community outreach.
  • Gather market intelligence and customer feedback to inform sales strategies and product development.
  • Collaborate with clinical and marketing teams to refine messaging and support early adopters.
  • Sales Operations & Reporting

  • Maintain detailed records of sales activities, pipeline development, and customer feedback.
  • Provide regular sales reports and market updates to management.
  • Utilize CRM tools and reporting systems to track progress and outcomes.
  • Training & Education

  • Provide hands-on support during product evaluations, onboarding, and training.
  • Deliver onboarding and refresher training for new and existing accounts (remote and on-site as needed).
  • Support customers with workflow integration and best practices for patient engagement.

    Typical Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities :

  • Strong experience in the cardiology space—either through clinical practice, medical training, or commercial engagement.
  • Proven ability to work within hospital systems and understand clinical workflows.
  • Sales experience in healthcare, medical devices, or diagnostics (or strong aptitude and interest in transitioning into a sales role).
  • Comfortable working in a startup-like environment with evolving processes and product positioning.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel across the assigned territory.
  • Ability to provide hands-on support during product evaluations, onboarding, and training.
  • Skilled at gathering market feedback to inform product development and go-to-market strategies.
  • Capable of maintaining detailed records of sales activities, pipeline development, and customer feedback.
  • MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE OR CERTIFICATIONS

  • Strong experience in the cardiology space—either through clinical practice, medical training, or commercial engagement.
  • Sales experience in healthcare, medical devices, or diagnostics (or strong aptitude and interest in transitioning into a sales role).
  • Experience launching new medical technologies or diagnostics.
  • Familiarity with heart failure management protocols and fluid monitoring.
  • Existing relationships within cardiology networks in Texas or the Midwest.
  • Willingness to travel as required (travel percentage to be defined).
  • Comfortable with CRM tools, virtual meeting platforms, and basic data reporting.
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Travel : Position requires some business travel (including overnight and international) estimated up to 30% and valid driver’s licence and valid passport.
  • Physical Demand : Light physical effort.  This job requires the employee to lift at least 15 lbs infrequently. This position may include considerable fieldwork, with possible exposure to physical and / or environmental hazards.
  • Mental Demand : Moderate to high degree of concentration.
  • This position may require access to patient Protected Health Information (PHI) and may also involve access to electronic Protected Health Information (ePHI). Those in this position are required to comply with all final regulations including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
