We are looking for a commercial / decorative Painter to join our Maintenance team with at least five years of commercial experience and the following skills :

• drywall repair
• plaster repair
• faux finishes
• texturing
• stenciling
• managing and organizing paint inventory
• paint matching

The mission of the Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board is to facilitate the operation of state government, preserve the historical integrity of the Capitol Square Complex and educate visitors about the history of Ohio and civics.

Proven experience as a painter

Strong ability to create / maintain decorative finishes

Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply them

Solid knowledge of commercial and / or construction painting techniques

Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.)

Good basic math skills

Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders etc.

Conscientious with great attention to detail

Good color vision and aesthetic instincts

Time management skills to ensure tasks are completed on schedule

Ability to lift / move 50lbs

Customer service skills

Collaboration and teamwork

Ability to assist maintenance team as needed

Historic site experience a plus.
