CVICU Nursing Job Details

Location : Albany, NY 12208 (New York healthcare jobs)

Unit : Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)

Assignment Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 15 / 2025 – End : 2 / 11 / 2026)

Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $2100-$2250

Employment Type : Travel Nursing (W2)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State or willingness to obtain

Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU nursing experience

Trauma Level One experience required

Expertise in postoperative cardiac and vascular surgery patient care in an ICU setting

Proficiency in advanced hemodynamic monitoring, ventilators, arterial lines, spinal drains, ECG interpretation, temporary pacemakers, and titration of vasoactive / inotropic drips

Epic EMR experience required

Navy blue scrubs required

Competency test required within 24 hours of submission

CVICU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver expert nursing care to cardiovascular ICU patients, including those recovering from cardiac and vascular surgeries

Monitor and manage advanced hemodynamic parameters and life-support equipment

Interpret ECGs and respond to cardiac emergencies

Administer and titrate vasoactive and inotropic medications

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic EMR

Follow hospital policies and dress code
