Position Summary :

The Veterinary Technician Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the veterinary team by assisting technicians, veterinarians, and other staff to ensure smooth daily operations. This position focuses on maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment, handling patients with care, and providing excellent customer service to clients.

Key Responsibilities :

• Assist veterinary technicians and veterinarians with patient restraint during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Provide compassionate care to animals, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
• Clean and disinfect exam rooms, treatment areas, kennels, and surgical suites as needed.
• Restock supplies and maintain inventory in exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Monitor and walk hospitalized or boarding patients, providing food, water, and basic care.
• Assist with preparing laboratory samples, medications, and equipment.
• Safely handle and transport animals of various sizes and temperaments.
• Maintain accurate records of patient care, treatments, and observations as directed.
• Support front desk staff when necessary, by assisting with client communication and patient check-ins.
• Uphold hospital policies and standards for cleanliness, safety, and animal welfare
