opportunity at Orica for a Yardperson within our Orica USA

Commercial team. The Yardperson plays a key role in supporting

efficient operations in the magazine area, including the dispatch

and receipt of finished products, such as boosters, caps,

detonators, primer cords, tubing, and raw materials. This position

ensures compliance with the National Code for the Transport of

Explosives by road, as well as Orica's Safety, Health,

Environmental, and Quality standards. In addition, the Yardperson

will provide support to blast crews and assist with on-bench

operations, contributing to the safe and effective execution at

customer locations. Monday thru Friday

  • Overtime may be needed

Contribute to our safety culture by wearing assigned Personal

Protective Equipment ("PPE"), keeping safety guards on equipment in

place, using equipment safely, and looking out for the other

members on your team

  • Maintain a clean job site by picking up
  • tools and equipment and securing job site each day in order to

    eliminate potential hazards

  • Load and unload trucks
  • Assist other
  • team members when necessary

  • Review and enter data into Microsoft
  • Excel and SAP for customer tickets and for inventory control

  • Post
  • manual inventory, receivables, and stock transfers

  • Compare
  • invoices with customer tickets and file

  • Manages the explosives
  • limits and replenishes materials within the magazines as required

    by the explosives regulations

  • Create customer tickets for shots
  • for the following day

  • Count in trucks as they come in from shots
  • Ensures the accuracy of the operation of the magazine's monthly
  • inventory, which must fall within the guidelines of the regulatory

    requirements Knowledge of the proper use of equipment, materials,

    and supplies used on construction jobs

  • Must have reliable
  • transportation to the job site

  • Lifting up to 60 pounds and
  • carrying 50 pounds or more of product or other materials

  • Must be
  • able to load product, pull large hoses, fill holes, and climb

    on / off of the truck

  • Pushing / pulling in working with equipment
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred

  • One year of related
  • work experience preferred

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office,
  • specifically Excel

  • Knowledge of SAP experience is a plus
  • Experience with material handling, including conducting product

    inventory counts and maintaining accurate inventory records, is a

    Range : $23-25 (Salary to be determined by the applicant's

    experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal
