PCU RN Job Details - Albuquerque, NM Location : Albuquerque, NM 87102 (New Mexico healthcare jobs) Facility : Heart Hospital - Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Contract Start Date : November 24, 2025 End Date : February 23, 2026 Duration : 13-week travel nursing assignment Shift : 12-hour night shifts (18 : 30 - 07 : 00), 3 shifts / week (36 or 48 hours / week available) Unit Size : 55-bed PCU Patient Ratio : 1 : 4-5 Weekend Requirement : Rotating weekends as needed Float Requirement : Float to similar units as required Charting System : EPIC electronic medical records Scrub Color : Any (no logo) Estimated Weekly Salary : $1700-$1740 / week PCU Registered Nurse Qualifications Active New Mexico or Compact State RN license (required at time of application) Minimum 1 year of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing experience (2 years preferred) Cardiovascular nursing experience required BLS and ACLS certifications required; CPI certification preferred First-time travel nurses welcome Ability to float to similar units as needed PCU RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiovascular conditions, including CHF, STEMI / NSTEMI, and post-cardiac procedures Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, manage cardiac drips, and respond to changes in patient status Administer blood products, manage central and peripheral lines, and perform wound care Conduct patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and document in EPIC EMR Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services Participate in rotating weekend coverage and float to similar units as needed Maintain a safe, supportive, and patient-centered environment Take the next step in your nursing career with this rewarding travel PCU RN job in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
