Wood is recruiting for a Field Piping Designer IV to join its Projects business unit, supporting brownfield surface facilities retrofits, expansions, and debottlenecking projects, primarily supporting the Mechanical Engineering Design needs in Northern Colorado.
Northern Colorado area candidates strongly preferred, no per diem or relocation are available for this role. No outside agencies. Candidates must be eligible to work in the US with visa sponsorship now or in the future.

As a Field Piping Designer IV, you will be responsible for developing layouts and designs for brownfield projects across multiple engineering disciplines, including pipeline capacity expansion and debottlenecking, crude oil separation, water treatment, and mechanical retrofits. You will conduct site walkdowns, develop mark-ups, and create as-built documentation to ensure the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.

Expected:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical or piping design within oil & gas, industrial construction, or power generation industries
• Proven field experience performing walkdowns and interpreting engineering documents (P&IDs, piping specifications, line lists,
• Strong understanding of piping materials, systems, and engineering principles
• Proficiency in CAD and 3D modeling software
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Legally authorized to work in the . without sponsorship
Desirable:
• 15+ years of total design experience in oil & gas or industrial facilities
• Experience with Chevron Engineering Standards or similar client specifications
• Advanced knowledge of 3D design software and piping databases
• Field construction support experience
