SEA, Ltd., a nationally recognized forensic engineering firm, is hiring a Business Development professional to join our Baltimore team.

We are in the room with our clients-listening, challenging, and problem-solving. Together, we uncover opportunities, shape smart strategies, and turn them into action that drives measurable performance.

In this role, you'll drive growth across Baltimore, Philadelphia, Richmond, and New York-building relationships with attorneys, insurance companies, and manufacturers, while creating opportunities for our technical experts.

A successful candidate will have sharp attention to detail, strong critical thinking capabilities, emotional intelligence, and the drive to succeed.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities :

  • Sell to and expand our service offerings with existing and new clients in our target markets of Insurance Companies, Law Firms and Manufacturers
  • Responsible for increasing market share by proactively prospecting, pursuing and closing new business
  • Manage multiple client relationships and engagements including addressing any client issues
  • Develop and solidify long-term business relationships and partnerships
  • Proactively seek new clients that align with our target customer profiles
  • Attend industry trade shows and seminars
  • Assist with integrating diverse personalities in a fast-paced environment
  • Develop and execute a sales plan that results in new client revenues
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers of targeted prospects
  • Assist with addressing any client complaints or concerns
  • Ability to accept and integrate constructive feedback into job performance
  • Regular and predictable presence at work

Position Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of five (5) years of outside sales experience in a service industry
  • Must have strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, relationship management & time management skills
  • Experience working in a CRM, notable SalesForce
  • Willingness to travel regionally and nationwide
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and Outlook
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to travel 50% of the time, mostly by car
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • Ability to drive in all conditions
  • Ability to travel to client locations and conferences
  • Ability to travel by airline
  • Ability to accept and integrate constructive feedback into job performance
  • Regular and predictable presence at work
  • Compensation for this role is estimated to be approximately $75,000-$125,000 in salary, not including car allowance and quarterly bonus potential. Please note that the salary range listed represents a reasonable estimate at the time of posting and does not constitute a promise of compensation. Actual pay will be determined based on factors such as the scope of the role, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity, and market alignment.
