Academic Lung Oncologist – All Ranks, NTT

The Division of Hematology and Oncology at the University of Missouri (MU) School of Medicine is seeking a dedicated thoracic oncologist to join our expanding team at Ellis Fischel Cancer Center. We are looking for an academic physician with a passion for advancing the care of patients with lung and thoracic malignancies through clinical excellence, research, and education.
Responsibilities
- Join and contribute to an expanding thoracic oncology program with immediate access to a robust lung cancer patient population.
- Lead and expand thoracic oncology services and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Design, lead, and participate in cutting-edge clinical trials with colleagues across MU’s academic health system.
- Engage in translational research with available protected time, seed funding opportunities, and access to collaborators.
- Serve in teaching and educational roles for fellows, residents, and medical students within a department supporting subspecialty fellowship programs.
- Collaborate with thoracic surgeons, radiation oncologists, pulmonologists, and pathologists in tumor boards and multispecialty clinics.
- Contribute to the institutional and clinical growth supported by MU Health Care’s system with multiple hospitals and clinics.
Qualifications
MD / DO, Board Certified or Eligible in Hematology / Oncology.Demonstrated interest or experience in lung and thoracic oncology.Interest in clinical research, clinical trials, or translational science encouraged.Commitment to clinical service, teaching, and academic growth.Compensation & Benefits
