Location : Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Specialty : Pediatric Respiratory Therapist Type : Travel Schedule : 3x12s Days Time : 13 Weeks

Seven Healthcare is pleased to offer a travel opportunity for a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist in Chapel Hill, NC. This assignment provides a competitive weekly rate of $2,350, based on three 12-hour day shifts (36 hours per week).

Key Responsibilities of an Pediatric Respiratory Therapist :

  • Assess, treat, and monitor pediatric patients with respiratory disorders under the direction of physicians.
  • Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, mechanical ventilation, and other respiratory treatments.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures such as arterial blood gas sampling and pulmonary function testing.
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory care techniques, equipment use, and home management.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including nurses and physicians, to develop and implement care plans.
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
  • Respond to respiratory emergencies and assist with neonatal / pediatric resuscitations as needed.
  • Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff.
  • Requirements of an Pediatric Respiratory Therapist :

  • Active North Carolina RRT license or valid Compact license
  • Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital or acute care setting
  • Must have a NRP or a PALS certification
