Job descriptionBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications in Azure Data Engineering are preferred Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on Azure technologies Mandatory skills include Azure Data Engineering experience, programming knowledge in Python or Java, and proficiency in Snowflake Familiarity with Spark and Linux management is essential This position requires 3 days onsite in NYC and allows for remote work for the remaining days. Job Title : Senior Data Engineer
Location : NYC, NY (Hybrid 3 days onsite and 2 days remote)
Duration : 10 months+ contract
Responsibilities :
- Design and implement robust data pipelines on Azure to ensure efficient data flow and processing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for data solutions
- Monitor and optimize data pipeline performance, ensuring high availability and reliability
- Ensure data governance and quality standards are met, utilizing tools like Collibra
- Develop and maintain documentation for data processes, architecture, and best practices
