Electronic Tech C, Radar

The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for an Electronic Technician C- Radar to support our government customer located in Kekaha, Hawai'i

Supporting radars, as well as being cross-trained and cross-utilized in other departments, the candidate shall possess working knowledge and be capable of troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, overhauling, modifying, calibrating, operating and performing other related tasks on radar systems and equipment.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Will be trained to operate and maintain radar equipment such as : MPS-25, FPQ-10, FPS-16 AN / SPS-67, SPS-48E SSR / Furuno, ROSA 1, ROSA 2, COSIP and all other assigned equipment / systems.
• Perform periodic inspections and maintenance tasks in accordance with published procedures and / or O&M guidelines. Document results of all maintenance actions in systems and equipment records.
• With assistance, troubleshoot and repair systems / equipment by reading and interpreting electronic / mechanical schematics and using simple and complex test equipment.
• Assist in preparation of system reports, preventative maintenance logs and other logs or reports as they pertain to the daily operations of optics systems.
• Assist to install, check, calibrate, and perform acceptance tests on new and relocated systems and equipment.
• Set up, check out, operate, and monitor systems and equipment in support of Range Operations. Responds to changing operational requirements when directed.
• Assist in preparing and developing new procedures, procedural changes and modification proposals.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Environment :

Office conditions are varied and includes physical tasks including lifting, pushing or pulling over 50 pounds (two-men assist). Physical positions will include but not be limited to walking, sitting or standing for extended periods of time, crawling, kneeling, stooping or cramped working places and work requiring repeated or frequent climbing. Environment will include customer contact, extended workdays, an office laboratory environment with field assignments, sometimes in inclement weather.
