Overview

TalentFish is casting a line for a Data Coordination Analyst ! This is a 6-month contract opportunity with a dynamic and growing organization seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to support data collection, management, and reporting efforts across their IT department. The Data Coordination Analyst will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of critical data used to support IT operations, financial planning, and information security initiatives.

This is a hybrid role candidates must be local to the Chicagoland area and able to work on-site as needed.

What You Bring to the Role (Ideal Experience)

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.

Proven experience as an IT Analyst, Financial Analyst, or in a similar data-focused role.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Proficiency in data management and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, BI tools).

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.

Keen attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high data accuracy.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, is highly preferred.

What You'll Do (Skills Used in this Position)

Data Collection & Management

Partner with various IT functions to identify, capture, and maintain relevant data points from multiple sources.

Ensure accurate and timely data entry into IT systems while maintaining data integrity across platforms.

Continuously update and validate records to ensure completeness and accuracy.

Reporting & Analysis

Develop and distribute reports for IT management and functional leads.

Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that inform business decisions.

Present findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.

Support Information Security with reporting on cyber assessments, phishing campaigns, and User Awareness activities.

Collaborate with IT Finance on financial reporting and analysis needs.

Collaboration & Communication

Work cross-functionally to understand data requirements and deliver tailored solutions.

Support User Awareness programs and coordinate related data collection, reporting, and follow-up communications.

Assist IT Finance with vendor and contract management, invoice processing, and financial planning tasks.

Maintain clear communication with IT management regarding data-related progress and project updates.

Continuous Improvement

Identify opportunities to enhance data collection, reporting, and analysis processes.

Implement best practices to improve efficiency, accuracy, and consistency across data systems.

Additional Responsibilities

Perform other data-related or administrative tasks as assigned by IT management to support departmental operations.

Compensation Information

The expected salary range for this position is $32 - $38 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. This role also qualifies for comprehensive benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off. TalentFish is committed to pay transparency and equal opportunity.
