Director, Compensation - Hybrid in Miami or Seattle

This role is responsible for influencing and implementing Carnival Corporation's compensation strategy within the Operating Unit and collaborating with HR business partners in planning and management of compensation programs that support and drive the company’s business strategy. It is a senior role within the Global HR team and sets the direction for how compensation strategies are implemented within the individual Operating Unit. The Compensation Director will work closely with the Operating Unit leadership team, HR business partners, and other key departments to support business goals and enhance employee retention. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of compensation design, excellent communication skills, and significant leadership experience. Additionally, this role will ensure strong alignment and collaboration across the brands within Carnival Corporation.

Essential Functions

Compensation Strategy & Program Design

• Execute shoreside compensation strategies that support talent acquisition, retention, and performance.
• Lead annual compensation planning cycles for the Operating Unit including salary reviews, incentive programs, and market benchmarking.
• Implement HCM functionality to support compensation workflows and analytics in the respective Operating Unit.
• Ensure alignment with Global HR goals, regulatory requirements, and internal governance standards.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Physical Demands : Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and / or computer for extended periods.

Travel : Less than 25% non-shipboard travel likely.

Work Conditions : Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety / health hazard potential.

This position is classified as “in-office.” As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Tuesday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Mondays and Fridays. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami / Ft. Lauderdale area.
