GENERAL DESCRIPTION :

The Psychiatrist provides quality management of patients within his / her specialty area. The physician performs a wide variety of psychiatric care and procedures including screening, interviewing, specific history, assessments and diagnoses. Uses written protocols efficiently, identifies quality care issues, and initiates problem solving and innovation. Records health history, findings, treatments, and recommendations accurately, clearly and consistently.  Provides crisis intervention as necessary. Responsibilities RESPONSIBILITIES :

Required Skills MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

The Psychiatric physician position requires a current licensed physician for the State of Texas. Must be board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry. The physician candidate must have sufficient annual Continuing Medical Education in the field of psychiatry to assure the standard of practice. The psychiatric physician position requires a high level of initiative and the ability to coordinate all aspects of the medical care within the specialty area provided to the patient. This position may require creative problem solving and skills in crisis management.
