Job Title : EP Tech Profession : EP Tech Specialty : Radiology Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 06 : 30-17 : 00 Hours per Shift : 10 Experience : Minimum 1 year License : RN, ARRT / RTR or RCIS Certifications : ACLS & BLS Must-Have : Critical Care / EP experience Experience in ablation, pacemaker implant & removal Description : Unit Profile : This unit has 3 EP Labs, consisting of 2 dedicated EP Labs and 1 Hybrid OR. The patient-to-staff ratio is 1 : 1. Unit staffing generally includes a Lead Tech, RN, and ARRT / RTR or RCIS, working in 3-4 person teams with 2 Techs and 2 RNs. The equipment used includes systems from Boston Scientific, BioSense Webster Carto, Medtronic, and Baylis / VersaCross. The documentation system utilized is EPIC Cupid & MacLab. Staff is expected to work 4 ten-hour shifts with late stays. The floating policy is non-applicable. Prior experience in ICU or ER is required. Procedures performed in this unit include : A-fib and A-flutter ablations, SVT, VT ablations (RF and Cryo). Pacemaker and ICD implants (single, dual, biV, Micra, and subcutaneous) are also performed. Lead extractions are part of the procedures offered. The dress code requires royal blue and black for RNs, and navy blue and black for Techs. The unit has a family-like atmosphere with supportive management and growth opportunities. It is engaged in numerous studies and collaborates with outside physicians for field studies.
